Rainer Warzecha & Interglotz Artnetwork - Playground

In a period of more then two decades I've worked on several playgrounds. These "grounds" had been partly set up, and my part was then, to add some unique element there. Mostly clay huts, mosaic-sculptures or pavillons.

In these places I developed the over all planning:
No 1 - the Clayvillage in Britzer Garden. Here we spent 15 years of continued work, and still go on
No 2 - a garden (at a local youth-help-institution) in my hometown, completly sketched out from my hands
No 3 - a playground situation at Kepler primary school in Magstadt, Baden Wurtemberg

On a theoretical level I sketched out ideas and concepts for unique "common hands efforts" and interaction with children or so to say "community projects". With that ideas my book (Bauen und Spielen mit Lehm) was released in 1997, at the beginning of my international appearance. In the years past 1997 I took part in international conferences, concerning playground activities, or earth building.

Please watch out for actual dates of work , as well as updates and links in the future! Pictures below give a reference on what we are doing in summers ...

The Earth and the Colour and the Sound...

In self-built ensembles of village-like structures we interact with children of all ages, playing and building with earth and provide a service towards our cultural heritage. Our annual earth-construction-workshop Makunaima, open to anyone - lasts five weeks during summer holidays. See Makunaima at Britzer Garden in Berlin!

With colour we did a lot. The number of murals and graffiti projects is large. See the murals topic ...
Music is where we are not only at home, also at work - see and listen, what we do!
